That's my McDonald's [Mar. 17th, 2006|10:57 pm]

[Current Mood | calm]

I spoke to my friend, Mel, in S'pore for close to 3 hours. We were both bitching about our romantic lives and our ex's, which, as anyone with romantic lives and ex's knows, takes a long time. I wish I had my gals in Philly, we could start our own Sex and the City, Philly Chapter. I got off the phone at noon and decided to get ready to meet Bombay Girl earlier than our arranged time of 2pm.

I went to her place, where I watched 2 episodes of Project Runway hosted by Heidi Klum. It was my first time with reality tv other than American Idol and The Apprentice, but I liked it. It was an interesting challenge and I'm into fashions, so that worked. Around 4, we set off for window shopping and a lot of walking. I can't wait till April when it's going to be warm and sunny and when the trees are finally going to have that amazing spring green sprout out of them... I could walk and walk and walk. Alone, with my own thoughts, at my own pace. In my spring clothes!

So anyway, we walked around for 2 hours and then decided to get something at McDonald's since I was craving it. I usually eat fast food a couple of times a year and I hadn't had my fix in more than 6 months, so I felt justified in caving into my unholy desire. It was every bit as good. And as cheap. The latter is very important to a law student on a budget that makes a shoe-string budget feel rich enough to buy an island. We took the food back to her apartment and put in the first season of Sex and the City, Bombay Girl being a big fan of the show. Since I hadn't seen the show with a girl before, I didn't mind it at all. We watched the first 4 or 5 episodes, and definitely, watching it with a girl is vastly different from watching it alone or with a guy. It's quintessentially a girl thing.
