A cop-out post
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now (even if we don't speak often or ever) please post a comment with a completely made up, fictional memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - but it has to be fake.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your LJ and I will post a fictional memory of you and me on your page.

UPDATE: Thanks to those who played. I'll cook up some zany memories and post them on your blog in just a couple of days. But one question - do I just post my memory randomly or are you guys gonna make a post about this and I leave a comment with my memory there??

When I was fourteen, I was biking home one day and you threw a stick in the tire of my bike. My entire wheel bent, and I fell, scraping my knees. I took one look at my broken bike and bloody knees, and burst into tears. You looked down at me, and said, annoyingly casually, "Wow, your bike is definitely not usable, and you are no shape to be walking. I guess you need a white knight right about now, don't you?" With that, you scooped me up into your arms, and proceeded to carry me home.

I hated you. You were my first crush.

(I hope it doesn't matter that I'm some random person you've never met... I just stumbled upon this, and thought it was a cute idea!)

Remember when we first met at JFK Airport years ago? You were waiting for your flight to Hawaii to have your wedding and I was waiting for my flight to Delhi to take a long overdue vacation. We sat there for about 30 mins or so making fun of random people what they were wearing (people DO make their own fashions in NY!) All was well and good until I pointed out the man in the ugly poop-colored Dockers and wingtips ... who happened to be your fiance-about-to-be-husband! Thank heavens we had exchanged email addresses well before that. ;)

I remember a time when your sanity was beyond question, and you actually made sense when talking. Back then you were drool-free, mostly, except for when you spotted a cute guy.. which is when you turned into a veritable amylase factory.

Now, you hardly make sense when you talk. When you aren't having one of your screaming fits and threatening to pull the electrodes off your head, you're actually pretty nice - and I can even convince myself that maybe, somewhere under all the insanity, there's still the person I once knew.

Remember when we met in our first class ever on our first day of law school? It was civ pro, and the class was crammed. It seemed like everyone had come early and had set up their computers and books and notes -- and I couldn't believe that the whole class was full of gunners. I came in just a few minutes before the class started and was totally disorganized, barely knew where I was or even if I was in the right place. When I got to class, I looked for an empty seat. The only room was in the front row, and I wasn't about to do that. You saw the look of horror and panic on my face, and you moved some stuff to make room for me in your row. I was so grateful not to have to sit in front -- especially when the prof sent around the seating chart and told us that we had those seats for the rest of the semester!

Throughout the semester we sat next to each other and cracked jokes about the prof's really bad toupee and his even worse taste in clothes. You made fun of me for never being prepared for class, and I teased you that you put extra "u"s in words like colour, honour, favourite, etc. and told you that you could save on your exam word count if you spelled like an American.

We survived that class and went out to celebrate after the final. I still don't remember that night, but I hear there are pictures somewhere...

Well, let's just say we shared too many secrets when we were both serving our BMT in Nee Soon Camp ...
